Carla Romano

Nobody knows the A list stars better than award-winning journalist Carla Romano. Her role as GMTV's Los Angeles Presenter introduced her to the great and the good of Hollywood and her fun, feisty, off the cuff style has made her the name they all want to work with.

Her career began back in 1996 at BBC Radio working as a Producer and Presenter and she hasn't looked back.

She famously produced the documentary, 'A Degree of Desperation'; about student prostitution, which was subsequently nominated for a Sony Award.

Carla made the move to television at the end of 1997, when she joined BBC Scotland's news programme 'Reporting Scotland', regularly presenting breakfast, late night and weekend news bulletins. She has also worked on a regular basis as a Scottish correspondent for BBC News 24, reporting and producing live items of Scottish news for the network.

Carla`s duties at GMTV included stand-in presenter for both the `News Hour` and the main show, plus she was regularly used as the main newsreader. She also fronted GMTV`s annual travel programme - `Great Escapes`, presented the popular exercise and diet series, `Inch-Loss Island` and the interactive home makeover series, `Hand Over Your House!`.

In March 2005, Carla became GMTV's LA Correspondent. Delivering stateside celebrity news every morning, Carla interviewed some of the biggest names in Hollywood, including George Clooney, Johnny Depp, Angelina Jolie, Will Smith, Justin Timberlake and Nicole Kidman.

Today she resides in Beverly Hills with her husband and daughter where she works as freelance writer and presenter.
